The usual procedure for artificial insemination in a mare is as follows:

Scan (1) and PG, scan (2) AI mare and Deslorelin, scan(3) Oxytocin and possibly flush, Scan(4), Scan(5).

This being said, all mares are different and some may require more scanning or drugs etc and some may require less.

For the above procedure the approximate cost would be $633.

At the Clare clinic we have a horse crush to scan mares in but unfortunately we do not have agistment facilities at either of our clinics. However, please contact us on 88422822 as there are some fantastic agistment and crush facilities available for hire in the area.
